How to Update Rosters in PES 2021 with Patches
Learn how the community keeps PES 2021 alive by applying custom patches that update team rosters, kits, and logos to the current season.
Because Konami no longer updates PES 2021, the squads are permanently stuck in the 2020-2021 football season. However, the dedicated modding community has found ways to inject modern rosters into the game.
What are Patch Files?
Patches for mobile PES 2021 usually come in the form of modified OBB or CPK files. These files replace the game's original database and graphical assets with new ones, featuring updated player transfers, new club kits, and accurate team logos for unlicensed clubs.
How to Apply a Patch
The process is similar to the initial installation. You download a custom patch file from a community site.
- Locate your current OBB file in
Android/obb/jp.konami.pesam/. - Rename it to keep it as a backup (e.g., add '.bak' to the end).
- Copy the newly downloaded, modified OBB file into that same folder.
- Launch the game, and the new rosters should be active.
Safety Warning
Always scan downloaded patches for malware. Community mods are unofficial. For a completely vanilla experience, stick to the original files discussed in our installation guide.
